There used to be walls seperating the kitchen, dining room and living room (you could not view the living room while cooking in the kitchen) and made the kitchen very small and dark. However, during our whole house reno we removed the wall and made it one BIG, OPEN and BRIGHT space and added the island.

This is the only unit in the entire complex with an open kitchen!
